· Right now, do you feel that push to do something? Anything?
That’s the Alpha Drive pushing you to engage with your reality. It can be external reality or just in your head.
· Do something. Whatever you want. Stand up and sit down. Just think about doing it. Whatever
· Do you feel like you were in control of that action? Or do you feel like I was in control for telling you to do it?
That gut check you just did – did I make you do it or did you – that’s what your system runs every time you do something. It’s the difference between feeling in control and feeling pushed around.
· If you did something and felt like you were in control of the action, you’ll feel relief until you notice the Alpha Drive pushing you again.
· If you didn’t feel in control of the action, you’ll feel what seems like an increase in the AD pressure. The only way to get relief is to do something, anything, that you feel like you were in control of…that you had what we call perceived agency.
YOU HAVE TO FEEL LIKE YOU’RE IN CONTROL OF YOUR BEHAVIOR
ALL THE TIME
That’s all the Alpha Drive is. It’s a continuous pressure you feel to engage with your reality – by selecting an action, outside your mind or inside, and doing it. Once you do it, the Alpha Drive System inside checks to see if you really did something…and the only way to tell is if you feel like you did. If you feel like you did something that you selected, that makes you feel in control. The good feeling you get outweighs the Alpha Drive’s pressure for a little while. How long you’ll feel better depends on a lot of things – it might be minutes or it might be seconds. Then you notice the Alpha Drive pressuring you to DO again. It’s the only thing that keeps us all moving forward.
